Fall Haul: H&M, IROSS, and more!

Hello everybody and welcome back to my blog! Today I have a brand new post and it is my Fall Haul 2014. I have been doing some fall and winter shopping, this is my favorite time to shop because stores are always having the best deals around the holiday time! I apologize for the picture quality it is horrible and every angle and room I tried was not any better but I still think you can see the clothes for the most part, I will try and get the quality of my photos in check.
Let's start with H&M

First I got this plain teal long sleeve shirt

My favorite part is the back because it dips a little bit so you can see some of your back. I think it would look cute with a white lace undershirt so it kind of peeps out and it will look really feminine.

Next I got this light pink cropped sweater. I thought it would look super cute with some black high waisted pants and black booties or you could wear it with a scarf and some riding boots. I love plain sweaters because it you can honestly wear them like 500 different ways and they all look cute.

Next I got this plain black sweater with floral details on the sleeves. Black is my favorite color so I love getting new pieces for my wardrobe. For this top I thought it would look cute with my gold two chains, black pants, and my black timberland's for more of an edgy outfit.
This is my favorite top I got, it is a loose navy and white stripped shirt. It is so comfy on but because it is loose and high low it looks super high fashion, I have already worn it like 5 times. My favorite is to pair it with black leggings and black booties ,with a red lip. It is the perfect transition from fall to winter outfit.

Lastly from H&M I picked up this really girly floral sweater. I thought this would be perfect for those chill days just to wear with leggings and converse. I love the color and detailing of this sweater  and it was only $10 woot woot!!

Now lets move on to the things I picked up from IROSS

I love IROSS for their sweaters and comfy clothes because they are really unique and inexpensive. So first I got this white and red stripped sweater with cream tassels. You can't tell but this sweater is kind of like a turtle neck so it will keep your neck super warm.

Lastly I got this Brandy Melville inspired sweater that says New York City on it. This is a little cropped so I thought it would be cute with black high waisted pants and rather converse or my black timberland's for a cute fall outfit.

Bath and Body Work

Bath and Body Works was having their 3 wick candles 2 for $22 so obviously I couldn't resist so me and my cousin split the deal so she got one and so did I. I chose the mint mocha bark which is literally the perfect Christmas/Winter scent. It smells like you just walked into a peppermint and chocolate farm and it fills your room with the best scent.

Target
I went to Target the day after Halloween and they were having crazy sales so I got super excited when I saw candles for 75% percent up so I picked up two for 75 cents each!

The first one I picked up is frosted cranberries which smells like a really sweet and fresh fruit.

Next I got fresh snow which is another perfect Christmas/Winter scent it also smells really fresh and natural.
I didn't know if I would like these candles but they are honestly so cute, smell amazing, and were really inexpensive so they are perfect for any small gift I love them!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I hope you all enjoyed my fall haul, I worked really hard to try and get the pictures right but it just did not work so I apologize for that. But other then that I hoped you enjoyed a peek into my style.
Have a great Sunday Funday and I will see you all next time!

Review: Lorac Royal Eye Collection Palette

A couple of weeks ago I got an email from Ulta with some of their new holiday palettes that are coming out. The minute I saw the Lorac palette I fell in love, I for some reason am super obsessed with monarchy and anything to do with kings and queens. Especially TV shows like my favorite is Reign. So when I saw this palette I knew I had to get it. I had told my sister about it and she ended up getting it for me for my birthday last week and I was crying because it was the best thing ever and I was super thankful. So today I will be reviewing this palette for you all.

This is what the palette looks like it comes in one box with four individual palettes inside. There is the queen, countess, princess, and duchess palette and I love it because it is all different types of colors in each.

The back looks like this, with descriptions of each palette.

Here is the queen one it is more pink based. The first color is a light champagne good for a base. the next is a light pink color, next is burgundy shade perfect for the fall season. Lastly there is a black color good for a smokey eye look. I did a look for school with this one yesterday I used all the colors except black and it came out so pretty and feminine.

Next is the countess palette which probably has my favorite colors.  It starts with a  shimmery champagne, the next is a shimmery bronzey color which I love for everyday, then a shimmery dark brown color, and lastly a fun matte teal color. This palette is so beautiful.

For the princess one it starts with a mix between a beige and champagne color, next is a gold shimmery color, than a super sparkly bronze color, and lastly a shimmery dark brown. Super cute palette for everyday as well.

Lastly we have the duchess palette which is the perfect smokey eye palette. First there is a plain white color good for a base or inner corner highlight, next is a frosty blue color, than a shimmery dark gray, and last a dark teal almost black color.

---------------------------------
I love this palette so much it is so versatile with the warmer everyday colors and than there's also a palette great for smokey eyes. They also all have darker shades so you can make a day look into a night look with one color. All the colors are super creamy and have great pigmentation and look great on. Sorry I used the word shimmery so much it was the only word I could think of to describe these gorgeous shades.

Love you all and have an amazing week!

CIY: Healthy Cotton Candy Frappucino

I love Starbucks like any other person but what I don't love is their prices and if you get a drink a couple times a week it adds up. So today I decided to try and make one of their drinks myself and to make it even better I made a healthy version. I will be showing you guys how to make a healthy cotton candy frappucino, it tastes amazing, and doesn't take more than 5 minutes to make!

Ingredients: (Makes 2 cups)
-Half cup of raspberries
-Half cup of strawberries
-Medium size banana
-1 Trader Joe's organic mango yogurt
-3/4 cup of vanilla almond milk

First you want to cut your strawberries and banana and then just place them in the blender along with everything else.

Place everything in the blender together. The yogurt mixed with the milk will give it a really creamy texture just like a frappucino.

Then simply just mix it all up until smooth consistency. If you want it to be lighter like how the frappucino usually looks just add some more milk!

Place in a cup and enjoy!(: This drink is so refreshing and a good replacement for a dessert or any other type of treat.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hope you all liked this post it came out amazing so I had to make a post about it. I recommend trying this 100% it's super quick and tastes like Starbucks at home.

Favorite Fall Candles

If you were to know anything about me it would be that I am obsessed with candles! I think they are the most relaxing and soothing thing ever. All the different smells I am in love with. Today's post I wanted to show you a few of the candles I have been loving for fall time. My favorite candles are from bath and body works, I always buy them on sale and they are pretty reasonable.

The first candle I have is a B&BW one in the scent Gelato. Gelato is my favorite type of frozen dessert so I think I was automatically drawn to this. But other than the name I think it is a really good transitional candle from summer to fall. It is mainly a sweet scent with hints of strawberry and raspberry. You can honestly burn this for half and hour then blow it out and the amazing scent will stay in your room for the next few hours it is awesome.
Next we have another B&BW scent in Sparkling Icicles. I love this scent so much simply because it smells like cologne. I am not even going to lie half of my candle collection is scents that smell like Abercrombie and Fitch or a really good cologne. If you don't have a boyfriend you have to improvise am I right ladies? Anyways moving along I love this scent because it has a more fresh tone to it and underlying the cologne smell is a nice citrus finish which I enjoy for fall.
Now this candle I chose for fall simply because I feel like during fall time is the most stressful part of the school season. Whether it be SATs, College Apps, Midterms, it really is a stressful time for most people. So I love this stress relief candle for those times when I'm feeling very anxious I like to just light it and meditate for a while and just calm down. It has a minty scent with a hint of some sort of citrus.
Lastly this candle is the only one not from Bath and Body Works my sister actually got this for me for Christmas last year and I believe it is from Kmart. It is the brand essential home in the scent spiced apple. This scent honestly reminds me of a mixture of everything fall, Halloween, and Thanksgiving. It has a spicy cinnamon scent to it with a good amount of apple so the spice is not overpowering. This one is probably my favorite scent for fall just because it reminds me so much of this time of the year.

Inexpensive Halloween Decorations

The last few months of the year are my absolute favorite, I may be a little biased because my birthday is in October but I still think it is the best time of the year. I go all out decorating for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. My favorite place to get décor for holidays is the Dollar Tree it is super inexpensive (everything is literally $1) and they have really cute stuff!!
For my night stand I found this glittery pumpkin that lights up on the inside which I thought would be perfect for any little table such as a night stand or in ones living room the coffee table. I already had this mercury glass candle holder so I just stuck two fake candles (picture below) and I think they go really well with it.

As for actual table cover I found this poster and I really liked the design so I just folded it and used it as a table cover instead. It has a really awesome Halloween pattern that is perfect for this season.

These are the flame less candles I used, I love these candles because they flicker and give a really spooky effect to the room when it's all dark.

Here is my vanity which is my favorite part I love the way it came together. So basically I took a spider webby table cloth and just laid it down and folded and tucked it until it fit the size of my vanity. Also across the mirror I drapped this "creepy cloth" over it which I think really ties everything together.

Then I found these two little cups with pumpkins and flameless candles in them. Also I usually have two baskets on either side with my sprays in one and my lip products in the other. I found these two haunted house looking like containers and just put all my products in their.

---------------------

If you want to go more simple I also have another option for you guys. I did this for my sister because she didn't want anything too much. Basically all I did was get some loose leaves (Dollar Tree) than I took a piece of string from home and taped them onto the string. Then I just taped it around the dressed and drapped it over the mirror.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----

For everything seen in this post it only cost $11 and you can honestly probably only spend $5 and still make your room look super cute. I personally just like to go all out for holidays, which you will probably see more of in the future.

I hope you all enjoyed this post I loved putting it together.
Love you all and see you next time!(:

My Life in Pictures

I have been feeling absolutely horrible about not posting more consistently. But there is honestly nothing I can currently do about it but try my best to post more. That is what I am doing, today I thought I would show you guys what I have been doing lately through pictures. Enjoy!!

I went to BJs with my friend the other night and it was SO delicious. If you have a BJs near you I totally recommend going they have some seriously awesome food. They are most known for their pizookies which are big cookies that they put ice cream on top of. They are seriously the best thing ever, the cookies come to you hot and the ice cream is cool so it is the perfect combo.

It is still hot as hell in California so you can still go to the beach, which is what my family has been doing. It is colder and windier on the beach but we like to bundle up and go there just because it is so relaxing and a nice escape.

By the beach we go to there is a Sprinkles ice cream, that I have been wanting to try. So after the beach we went and I got Smores ice cream in a red velvet cone. Honestly I wasn't impressed the ice cream was WAY to sweet and expensive for no reason. I wouldn't go back

I am still into healthy eating, it is harder just because school is in session and I am super stressed but I still try to eat healthy. I tried to make blogilates raspberry soufflé and it looks good in the picture but it came out bad. I wanted to do a post on this but it came out tasting bad so I decided not to. It tasted too much of egg whites so I unfortunately had to throw them away. But me and my sister just ate the tops which were crunchy and good.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That is all for this post I hope you all enjoyed. If you like these type if updating posts then let me know and I will do more!! Love you all so much and see you very soon!(:

Sorority Recruitment Story and Why I Withdrew!

When I would talk to people about rushing and being in a sorority I would always talk about it in the sense that I would end up in one. Never did I think I wouldn't, but I've come to the conclusion that everything happens for a reason.

So a few posts back I told you guys I wanted to be in a sorority. I go to a school where it is mainly commuters so it is hard to make solid friendships outside of the classroom. I thought joining a sorority would be the best way to get myself out there.

Recruitment was this past Friday the 19th through Monday the 22nd.

Friday was probably the most important day in the sense that you talk to all the sororities and you have to make a connection with someone so they call you back the next day. Essentially you have to be as overly bubbly and out there as possible. Talk until you cant talk anymore, I lost my voice if that says anythings.

Saturday was philanthropy day so up to four sororities can call you back to their house. I got called back to three and at the end of the day only ended up liking 1. This day consists of going to the sorority houses and getting a tour and just talking more with the girls. I made the mistake of being a little less bubbly and got screwed over in the end.

Sunday is preference day and you can get called back to up to 2 houses. I got called back to the two I didn't want the day before, honestly I was crushed and wanted to cry the minute I got the paper. But everyone told me to give the two houses a shot so I did.

The first house I went to I made a connection with the girl I was talking to, but the problem was the past two days I hadn't made a connection with the girls I talked to. So i couldn't base it off of one girl. Preference day can be really emotional because the sororities do some of their rituals with you, and you can really see that it means alot to them. One girl spoke and her story was very similar to mine and I started balling and couldn't stop until I got back to school because I really didn't know what to do.

The next house I never really liked from the beginning but for some reason they kept calling me back. Needless to say I didn't have the best time.

Once it came time to make my decision I really didn't know what to do. I for sure didn't want the second house but should I give the first one a shot. I called my sister, cried some more, talked to some of my friends, cried some more. Then finally put my big lady pants on and decided that it wasn't meant to be for me this semester. If I had to convince myself to join that specific sorority then that shows I am not in love with it. So I withdrew and wont be joining a sorority this semester.

I cried when I had to explain to the lady the whole situation but then I came to terms with it. What really got to me was that some girls got exactly the ones I wanted and were so happy that I was really jealous to be completely honest.
I was most upset that I wouldn't have the opportunity to make friends just because it is so hard at school.
But at the end of the day I really have to accept that it wasn't my time this year. I will be rushing again rather next semester or next year and hopefully I end up where I need to be.
