Vegas Outfits

Hello everybody! I'm back, I apologize for my absence but I am back now and in the time I was gone I went to Las Vegas for vacation and thought I would show you guys what I wore during the 2 day trip.

For traveling I decided to wear cropped leggings from Tilly's a long graphic London tee from Forever 21 and just some plain black flip flops. The drive was 4 hours so I wanted to be super comfortable.

After we got to the hotel I took a shower and got ready for the night we went to dinner and then saw KA by Cirque Du Soleil which was the best show ever. For my outfit I wore dark blue jean capris from Forever 21, a white tank top also from Forever 21, a fringe cream cardigan from Iross, and Steve Madden sandals.

For our only full day I wanted to be comfortable but cute as well. So I wore blue shorts from Forever 21, a peplum style white top with neon pink detailing from Tj Maxx, white converse, and a black watch with rose gold detailing from Macy's.

CIY: Zucchini Fries

I honestly love fries in any shape or form whether criss cut, curly, regular, wedges anything I love fries. But they are so bad for you, so I always try finding different things I can make into fries and they usually taste awesome. As you guys saw last time I made sweet potato fries and today I will be making zucchini fries. They are super simple but come out so delicious.

Ingredients:
-1/2 cup of whole wheat flour
-2 egg whites
-3 Zucchinis
-1/2 cup of bread crumbs (I think Italian style bread crumbs taste the best)

Ignore the sweet potato fries, but first you want to go ahead and wash your zucchini then cut them into fry shape. Also I cut them into little circles for some variation between fries.

Now is the coating process so first you want to roll them in the flour ,then egg whites ,and lastly bread crumbs. Then go ahead and just place them on a baking sheet with parchment paper on top.

Lastly pop them in the oven at 425 for 30 minutes or until crispy brown.
Take out and enjoy(:

I hope you all enjoyed this recipe it is one of my favorites and it is so simple you can make it for a quick dinner or a really cool appetizer.

High School Surival Guide: Periods

Something I saw a lot of people experience during high school for some reason was them not being prepared/ready for their period. It always confused me how some people never had pads, tampons, or any medicine to take care of themselves. I don't know if that is because I was always prepared but ones period is not something new most of the time it will most definitely happen once a month and during school you should always be prepared.

First things first in the beginning of the year create what I called an emergency kit. Which would be taking a small bag like the one below fill it with a pad, or tampon, a small Ziploc bag with some medicine, and maybe a mirror and some chapstick.

You can find a bag like this at Target, Walmart, or online on EBay or Etsy!!

I always kept this little bag in my purse and because pads and tampons are so lite it won't weigh you down. If your school is strict about not being allowed to bring medicine I would just take the Ziploc bag of medicine out whenever my period ended. Then just put it back in once you start or are close to starting again. Remember periods usually happen every 28 days so put a dot on your calendar the day you start so you can tell when you should be starting next month

Next I honestly can not stress this enough wear dark colored bottoms during your period. I have never leaked at school *knocks on wood ,but I have seen some others because they are wearing light colored bottoms. I usually wore yoga pants my first couple days, then a maxi skirt, or a dark colored dress. Also going along with this if you have a locker or some sort of storage at school just buy a cheap jacket or one you don't really care for and put it in there just in case you do leak and if it happens then you can go get the jacket and wrap it around your waist till school is over.

Bring some herbal tea with you in the morning. I have really, really bad periods so it's hard for me to go out during it but for school I have to so in the morning I pop some Advil and bring some tea my mom makes for me. It warms your body so it will help with cramps.

Next pack a sturdy lunch so you can take medicine. I would usually take a peanut butter sandwich so it would be carbs and protein so it would sit in your stomach better and it would be easier for you to take medicine with a full stomach.

Lastly make yourself as comfortable as possible, I know most of the time we all have people to impress but periods are a gross time so you might have to tone down the beauty for a couple of days. Wearing leggings, yoga pants or anything that makes you comfortable, throw your hair up, wear minimal makeup, and comfortable shoes.

Periods are seriously horrible times for me so I tried my hardest to make it as comfortable as possible. I hoped I helped some of you out and have a great day!!

Trader Joes Haul

I love to watch or see grocery hauls, I feel like they are really interesting and can give someone ideas for some new things to pick up. Today I thought I would show you guys what I got from Trader Joe's.
-Popped Potato Chips in barbecue: my family loves chips but I've been trying to get them onto baked or popped types for health purposes.
-Ridge Cut Sweet Potato Chips: I love anything sweet potato these are so good and the perfect salty sweet combination.
- Mushroom Ravioli: I think I watched a YouTube video or something where somebody was eating ravioli and ever since then I have been craving it like crazy so i decided to pick some up.
-Whipped Cream Cheese
-Fresh Salsa
-Milk Chocolate Truffle: I mainly got this for my sister because she loves chocolate. But sometimes when i crave something sweet I just have a square of this and it is satisfying enough.
-Sesame Soy Ginger Vinaigrette: This is my favorite salad dressing currently, I'm more of a vinaigrette person just because it is so much healthier but this is honestly delicious. I think this is my 3rd bottle.
- Whole Wheat English Muffins: Love these for egg mcmuffins.
- Corn Tortillas
-Bread Crumbs: I was making something that needed bread crumbs so I just got these, we usually get the Italian style breadcrumbs because they are more flavorful but Trader Joe's didn't have any. They were really plain and tasteless so I seasoned them myself with some garlic powder.
- Watermelon
-Organic Yogurt: The organic yogurt from Trader Joe's is seriously my favorite they almost taste like ice cream it is so good.

CIY: Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Hi guys!! I hope you all had a great weekend ,I decided to start a new series on my blog called CIY: Cook It Yourself of different healthy foods I make. For the first installment of this series I made sweet potato fries at first I wasn't sure if they would come out good but after I made them they were sooooo delicious I had to share.

Ingredients:
- 4 Sweet Potatoes
- Olive Oil
-Salt and Pepper
-Garlic Powder (not in pic I sprinkled it on last minute and it was super good)

First you're going to want to wash and peel the sweet potatoes

Next cut them into kind of fry shapes. In raw form sweet potatoes are actually really hard so you're going to have to use some serious force so be careful. Since they are so hard you can't really get them into perfect fry shapes but I was fine with these weird lookin ones. Then place them in a medium sized mixing bowl.

Now is the fun part seasoning time you can really do whatever you want and try different flavor combinations but I just kept it simple with oil, salt, and pepper. Then I washed my hands and mixed them by hand so everything would be more evenly coated.

I put parchment paper on a sheet tray so there wouldn't be as much mess and then spread them out. This is the point where I sprinkled the garlic powder on top. You can put them really close together but make sure none are overlapping since we all want them to be evenly crunchy and delicious!

Then just bake at 420 for about 30 minutes I did two 15 minute intervals so 30 minutes and then I turned the oven off and left them in there for another 5 minutes. Keep an eye on them throughout every bodies appliances are different so the heat may have different variations.

Finally plate and enjoy!! You can pair these with any sauce you like, I did ketchup and they were super good. But I heard A1 and siracha is also good as well.

I hope you all enjoyed this is my variation on the baked sweet potato fry, also the first post on my new CIY series. Get ready for more deliciousness to come!!

Ultimate Summer Nail Colors

Today I thought I would show you guys the nail colors I have been loving for summer, they are all super vibrant and summery so I hope you enjoy!
First I have Sally Hansen's Xtreme wear nail polish in Coral Reef. When I think of any summer color I automatically think of this shade. It is bright, coral, and goes with everything and adds the perfect pop of color to any outfit. I only wear this nail polish during summer because I don't think it fits with any other season, I love it!

Next we have my absolute favorite shade which is in Lacey Lilac. I think of this as a more toned done color for summer also a very pretty nail color for spring. I love how it is more of a pastel and doesn't pop in your face. Very pretty, delicate, and girly color.

I just got this color last week and I was instantly obsessed it is Sinful Colors polish in Cinderella. Not gonna lie the main reason I bought it was because it's called Cinderella and it reminds me of a fairytale. You can't see to clearly in the picture but it is a light baby blue color with some silver toned sparkles. This is more of a pastel color ,I can imagine wearing this color in winter too because of the blue so it is a versatile nail polish as well.

I love all these colors so much and I feel like the really are the perfect summer colors. They go with everything and will be sure to make your nails pop and look very summer esq.
